Pre School

Denlow Community Child Care offers a licensed, highly educational Full Time (7:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. and 9:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.) and Half-Day (9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. or 11:15 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.) programs for Pre School children aged 2.5 to 4 years of age.

The program is based on objectives and key experiences that encourage the children to focus on our “hands on” learning centers and enrichment activities. These areas have been carefully planned and implemented to help each individual child grow in all areas of development. These activities include:

Creative art (structured and child centered), music, body movement, drama, life skills, number and literacy concepts, cognitive activities, computer skills, sensory activities, gross motor skills (we share the gym with the school), and special events within the public school such as concerts and plays.

Our staff are trained to pick up on the children’s cues and integrate their individual interests into the daily program plans.

During the school year, the children’s play and structured learning activities are observed and documented daily by our staff. Our observations aid us in two ways. One is to shape our program based on the individual child’s needs. The other is to help us communicate to the parents how we feel each child is developing and progressing in our setting. Parents will receive a fall and spring report outlining their child’s progress which includes all areas of their development
