Katherine C.

RECE, Executive Director

Katherine graduated from George Brown College with a Diploma in Early Childhood Education in 2011. She has had experiences working with children of various age groups in the Greater Toronto Area, including John Wanless Child Care and West End Parents Child Care. Katherine is fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin. She joined our Team as a full-time Preschool and School Age Early Childhood Educator in 2012. In 2021, Katherine completed the Early Childhood Management Certificate program from George Brown College. This year Katherine has taken on the role of Executive Director at Denlow Community Child Care.

Veronica S.

RECE, Preschool Early Childhood Educator

Veronica graduated from Seneca College with a Diploma in Early Childhood Education in April 2011. Veronica has had extensive experience teaching Preschool, Kindergarten, and School Age children at St. Stephen’s Waterfront Child Care Centre, Arpi Nursery School, and Cliffwood Community Child Care. We were excited to have Veronica join our Denlow Child Care team in January 2019!

Colene D.

RECE, Preschool Early Childhood Educator

Colene graduated from Seneca College with a Diploma in Early Childhood Education in 2013. Prior to graduating she volunteered as a Teacher in the children’s program at the Seventh-Day Adventist Church, and later became a Supervisor for the Salvation Army. Colene has taught at Denlow since September 2016 as an Occasional Supply Staff through BookJane, Toronto. She has extensive experience working with Toddlers, Preschool, Kindergarten and School Age children. We were excited to have her join our Team as a full time Pre School Early Childhood Educator in April 2017.

Nancy L.

RECE, School Age Early Childhood Educator

Nancy graduated from Seneca College in 2013 with a diploma in Early Childhood Education. She has had extensive experience working with Preschool and School Age children in culturally diverse, community-based childcare settings such as Leaside Children’s House Montessori Nursery School, Pride in Heritage Children’s Centre, Gateway Day Care Centre, and Yes I Can Nursery School. Nancy is fluent in English and Mandarin. We were excited to have Nancy join our Team in September 2014. This September Nancy will be working primarily in our Before and After School Age room.

Annette G.

RECE, School Age Early Childhood Educator

Annette graduated from Centennial College with a diploma in Early Childhood Education in April 2019. Annette came to us through MeLor, our Supply Staff Company. She has had teaching and volunteer experience with several childcare centres throughout the Greater Toronto Area prior to supply teaching with MeLor. We were fortunate and excited to have Annette join our Denlow Child Care team in November 2019.

Nancy L.

RECE, Preschool & Kindergarten Early Childhood Educator

Nancy graduated from Seneca College with a diploma in Early Childhood Education in 2013. She has had extensive experience working with children of all ages in a variety of child care settings such as Children’s Village Day Care Centre, Cambridge Place Daycare Centre, ABC Academy, and Curious Caterpillars Daycare Centre. She has also worked as a Chinese School Instructor, helping children learn Mandarin and Cantonese. We were excited to have Nancy join our Team as a Full Time Preschool and Kindergarten Early Childhood Educator in September 2017. 

Hazal H.

Part-time Early Childhood Assistant

Hazal came to us with experience teaching fine arts to children and youth in Art Dream Studio and Community Living. We are very excited to have her join our Team!

Barbara Y.

Part-time Consultant, Playground Maintenance Personnel and Music Specialist

Barbara graduated from Centennial College with a diploma in Early Childhood Education in 1979. She has been the Executive Director with Denlow Community Child Care 1997 and is now moving into retirement. We are very pleased that Barbara will continue supporting us on a part-time basis as a consultant, playground maintenance personnel, and music specialist!

All RECEs must be in good standing with the College Of Early Childhood Education as well as have a clear Police Reference Check.
